NEXT SUNDAY

Next Sunday Pastor Kory will continue the sermon series Dear Westend with the message When Fitting In Isn’t Enough. During the service we will witness the public profession of faith of Josh and Erin Thomas, and the baptism of Josh and Elli Thomas.

Our opportunities for giving will be for the Ministries Fund and Benevolence.

MISSION STATEMENT OF WESTEND

Grateful for God’s amazing gifts, we:

gather for joyful worship of God,

give ourselves in loving service,

grow in faith and love,

guide people to Jesus Christ.

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

If you ordered pigs-in-blankets or Yankee Candles from the Christian Ed committee, your orders are in, and can be picked up at the kitchen window after this morning’s worship service.

Our first Feeding America truck is scheduled for this Wednesday and we will begin handing out food at 4 PM. Are you willing to help set up, sort, and hand out food, or help families carry food to their cars, or just talk with them? A sign up sheet is in the back of church. Please arrive at 3:30 for instructions. If you’d like to help but have small children, please talk to Jim or Sue. We hope to have childcare during this time.

This Wednesday is also our Community Dinner! Spaghetti with homemade sauce is on the menu, along with garlic bread, salad and dessert. If you can, please sign up in the fellowship center to help. Our next dinner will be November 29, and we will have a potato and chili bar.

The Ladies’ Thursday afternoon Bible study meets this week. Please study Isaiah 9, lesson 8.

When was your last night out without the kids? The Christian Ed committee is considering a drop off the kids night on Friday, November 24, if there is enough interest. Go shopping or have a quiet dinner. Contact April at myles2208@comcast.net.

If you would like to remember our shut-ins with Christmas cards, there will soon be decorated bags in the fellowship center for each of them. Please bring your cards in by December 3.
