Kids Hope
Kids HopeOne church -- one school -- one child -- one hour! Kids Hope USA is a national mentoring ministry that connects churches with local elementary schools. Westend partners with Covell Elementary School and over 30 members of our congregation are paired with a Covell student who they mentor and tutor for one hour each week. A prayer partner from our congregation supports each mentor/student pair. In addition to the weekly mentoring sessions at school, Kids Hope organizes activities and events several times a year for the Kids Hope students and families and encourages students to also explore GEMS, Cadets, and the Kids Life Bible Club (an after-school Bible Club at Covell run by other Westend members).
