In the United States, 2.3 million people are serving ıme in prison, 95 percent of whom will ultimately be released. Two out of three will later be rearrested after their release. These statistics are daunting. But they can dramaıcally improve when the hearts of prisoners are transformed through a relationship with Jesus Christ.
The mission of Crossroad Bible Institute is to mobilize and equip the church to be in life-changing relationships with prisoners all over the world. Over 5,500 volunteer instructors from churches across the globe guide students in their walks with Christ through correspondence Bible studies and letters of hope and encouragement.
We receive dozens of testimonies every month from prisoners whose lives are being changed by the power of God’s Word. But we also realize there is more we can do to reach more men and women with the life giving message of the Gospel.
At CBI, we see a great need to develop a basic, gospel-centric introductory
course for prisoners with no Bible knowledge, while also expanding our entire curriculum catalogue, so that students never run out of Bible study material. We are currently in the beginning stages of a curriculum expansion project, so we can grow our impact in prisons across the world. Please be in prayer as we begin this important work.
