HOME Community Life
The Community Life Team oversees the community ministries of Westend Church.
Westend Church has partnered with Covell Elementary School with Kids Hope USA mentors, Kids' Life BIble Clubs, and LOOP for acitivities after school.
During the school year community dinners are held on the 1st & 3rd Wednesday evenings at 6:00 pm. Activities for Kids and adults are held after the dinner.
Annual events at the Westend campus includes our summer Kids program called C.S.I. (June), Back to School Festival (August), and Living Nativity (December). Check the website for more information on these are other community activities.
The community life team encourages the members of Westend Church to participate in community activities with every aspect of their life. As a way to remind us about outreach we have adopted the acronym GPS. A global positioning system guides you to your destination we also want the GPS movement in our church to help us see that we can be more like Christ in our daily lives. G stands for go. We cant make a difference in anyone's life and go beyond our churches four walls. The P stands for Pray. Nothing is accomplished for the Kingdom of God without Prayer. The S Stands for Serve. Without service the church ceases to be relevant.
