Throughout the years, Westend has continued a long history of supporting missions all over the world. Our wonderful Westend members have shown great financial and prayer support for our missionaries and their fieldwork. Along with the support for our missionaries, Westend members of all ages have helped contribute to successful missions. Over the past 25 years, Westend has been able to raise over $1.5 million to finance these important missions.
Nearly 1 billion people worldwide can't study the Word of God because they can't read. ASM has stepped in to help fill this gap by recording the Scriptures in local languages and distributing thousands of audio Bibles to those needing to hear. For more information, visit their website here.
Hands in Mission has two areas of mission focus- building projects and the Honduran children's fund. Faith Promise pledges will support the children's fund. Local pastors will be provided the means to address the physical needs of the most vulnerable children throughout Honduras.
HIS PLACE is a Christian Community Development Organization that prioritizes ministering through Word and Deed by meeting the needs of people at various points in life.
Their mission is to prepare hundreds of Mexican church leaders to be pastors, teachers, counselors, and evangelists. These Biblically-oriented Mexican nationals will serve Christ and build His kingdom for decades to come.
Mission India is not a 'sending' organization but an 'equipping' one. They partner with ministries in India training them to transform India through the love of Christ.
Mississippi Christian Family Services' goal is to teach individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities the skills needed to live as independently as possible.
Their ministry out of Costa Rica is local, regional, and global through Casa Adobe, the center for Interdisciplinary Theological Studies, the Cohort of Missioners, and the International Fellowship for Mission as transformation.
She helps partners develop their organizational capacity and work in communities. This includes working with Embrace Aids programs and community development programs.
She is responsible for running Rafiki's teacher training program, called the Rafiki Institute of Classical Education. In addition, she does the bookkeeping and payroll for their village and is involved with holiday and afterschool activities with their resident children.
From time to time, God presents mission or service oriented opportunities to members of Westend. Whether collectively or individually, the opportunities are a challenge to invest of ourselves. Supporting WMP will provide funds to help members who wish to do mission projects that "arise" throughout the year.
Their primary focus is to partner with national organizations in supporting youth leadership and discipleship programs through consulting youth leaders and mentoring young people.
