Outreach Ministry: Do you have a heart for serving people around the world, right from your own home? This is a great opportunity for a person or group of people to serve our congregation and help us reach out to the world beyond our neighborhood. Main responsibility: Mission Emphasis Week and coordinating Faith Promise.
Congregational Life Ministry:
Do you have a gift for bringing people together? Do you love planning events? Does talking with people and making them feel involved fill your bucket? Maybe you have a great idea for a congregational life event?
Consider volunteering some time for this ministry. This is a great role for a group of people to share. Main responsibilities: Organize one-time (or ongoing) events throughout the year that build community within our congregation. Schedule people to make and serve coffee.
GEMS, Cadets, and Sunday morning youth ministries:
The youth of our church and community are active and involved! Our youth leaders are always interested in talking with people who feel a pull toward volunteering with our youth programs!
Ways to get involved with the youth of Westend Church:
GEMS: Starting in the fall, girls in first through eighth grade meet the first and third Wednesday of each month from 6:30 – 8:00 PM to praise God through songs, Bible lessons, crafts, games and service projects. This program encourages girls to grow in their relationship to God and others.
Cadets: Helping boys grow more Christ like in all areas of life is the goal of the Calvinist Cadet Corps!

Children’s Ministry: Children experience God in unique and special ways. Westend seeks to help children in their walk with the Lord through a variety of activities and opportunities tailored to their interests and ages.
We need help with volunteers in Nursery, 3’s & 4’s and elementary age as well as Sunday School!
Student Ministries: JROCK and LIFE youth groups meet 2-3 times a month, with special activities also happening once/month.
