CHRISTMAS DAY

Join us Christmas morning at 9:45am to celebrate our Savior’s birth!  Pastor Dan will preach the message Who’s Lying in the Manger?

The offering will be for Bethany Christian Services.

THIS SUNDAY (Dec 26th)

This Sunday Pastor Brian’s message, Hope Is Born, will be from Luke 2:1-20.

The second offering will be for Benevolence.

NEXT SUNDAY

Next Sunday Pastor Dan will bring us a message from Matthew 2:1-12, titled Light For The New Year.  During the service we will celebrate communion.  If you are worshipping from home, we encourage you to have communion elements ready.  

The second offering will be for Faith Promise.

CHURCH FAMILY

Ginny Boonstra’s health is declining and she has been put into hospice care.  Please keep her and her family in your prayers.

Thank you Westend family, for the love you show to our mom, Phyllis Flietstra, through your notes, thoughts & prayers and also with your Christmas cards and wishes. Mom may struggle a bit with remembering whom they are from, but it gives her so much joy in looking through each and every one of them. Thank you all for remembering her!  Merry Christmas, from Phyl and her family!

Thank you, Westend Family for thinking of me during this time of isolation and brightening my day with a beautiful red Poinsettia delivered by Mike Koning.  We are blessed to have a wonderful staff and Council that are working to keep this flock together.  Thank you for your prayers and encouraging words which inspire me to carry on.   Sharon Bajema

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS 

Office Hours: The office will be open Monday-Wednesday 9am-3pm next week.

There will be NO Children’s Worship on Sunday January 2nd.  We are still in need of a volunteer in nursery on January 2nd.  Please contact Alisha Myers or the office if you are able to help out.

We are in need of many volunteers to keep running the nursery and Children’s Worship each week.  Please consider volunteering!  Contact Alisha Myers with any questions.

Pop Can Fundraiser: Next Sunday (Jan. 2) the CEMC will be collecting your clean, returnable bottles and cans.  Collection bins will be located in front of the double stall garage by the Church Office.  Thank you for your continuing support! 

Thursday evening ladies Bible Study will be starting a new study January 6th at 6:30pm.  We will be using the study “Seamless” by Angie Smith, which shows how the whole bible connects as one beautiful seamless thread!  If you would like to join us, or have questions, contact Faye Kragt.

Our next community dinner is January 5th!  Join us for a delicious chicken dinner.
