We're glad you're here.

We'd love to help make your first experience at Westend a great one!

We'll guide you.

It can be overwhelming to visit a place for the first time. Let us help you plan your first visit to Westend Church and ease some of those first-time jitters.

We'll guide you through everything you want and need to know before showing up on a Sunday. If you have children, you can pre-register them for nursery or kids programs to make an easy experience when you arrive.

Plus, we have a gift for you and one of your children to welcome you to Westend Church.

There's a place for you at Westend.

You matter. Regardless of who you are, your background, or what you look like, there's a place for you at Westend Church.

Westend's church community looks a lot like our Grand Rapids community: blue collar and white collar, empty nesters and young families, college-aged and middle-aged.

Our experience with faith is just as diverse: Westend is made up of people exploring their faith for the first time and those who've grown up in the church.

What to expect on Sunday

Arrival

We recommend arriving about 10 minutes before the start of Sunday's service.

There's plenty of parking, available on the north and south sides of the building, with a handicap accessible entrance available inside the north entry.

Once inside, head to the Welcome Center in the lobby area. Our Guest Services team will be happy to show you around.

Nursery

If you have young children, you're welcome to bring them to the nursery. We have trained volunteers excited to care for your kids while you participate in the worship service.

Music & Prayer

At 9:45am, we'll start the service by singing a few songs about Jesus. Music is led by a team of volunteers and is often a mix of traditional hymns and contemporary songs.

Kids

After singing together, someone from the stage will dismiss preschool and young elementary-aged children. Kids will go downstairs for a time of age-appropriate teaching.

Preaching

After a time of prayer, a pastor will preach a practical message from the Bible. Our sermons explore the intersection of faith and life, and are designed to help you navigate life's challenges.

Fellowship &
Sunday School

At the end of the service, you can walk straight out the back of the sanctuary to the large open area we call our Fellowship Center. We offer free coffee and cookies every Sunday to enjoy while you meet and connect with others from Westend.

You may also pick up your kids from their program downstairs, or they can remain in class for an extended, in-depth teaching time designed just for them!

Get Connected

After the service, but before you leave, head to the Welcome Center in the lobby. We'd be happy to answer any questions you have, and find ways to help you connect with others at Westend.

Plus, we have a gift for you and one of your children to say thanks for being here.

We're gathering this Sunday,
and you're invited.

We understand life is complicated. But you don't have to go through life alone.
At Westend Church, we're a community. And our church community gathers together in person and online every Sunday at 9:45 AM.
