Bulletin 8-2-20

August 2, 2020

TODAY

We gather together for outdoor worship today.  Pastor Kory continues the series You Keep Using That Verse.  His sermon today is God’s Plan for My Life, from Jeremiah 29:11.  During the service, Ruth Jane VanderWilp, daughter of Chad & Hannah, will be baptized.

We will continue to live-stream the service on YouTube and Facebook.

NEXT SUNDAY

Pastor Kory will continue the series You Keep Using That Verse.  Next week’s sermon is Next Gen Legacy, from Acts 2:38-39.

OUR CHURCH FAMILY

Dave Zylstra is hospitalized at Blodgett.  While he is improving, he will likely remain for several days.

Phil VanHeest has been transferred to Covenant Living’s Skilled Nursing unit for rehab and continued healing.

Mary Koets anticipates beginning radiation treatments this week.

We extend sympathy to Carl and Jane VandePol in the recent death of Jane’s mother.

Greg Gant and Tammy Westphal were severely injured in a car accident last week.  Tammy is recovering at home but Greg will spend several weeks in rehab.  Praise God for positive steps in their healing!

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Due to the delay in reopening schools, our backpack festival will be rescheduled to some time in October.  Donations are still appreciated, and the bin for them will be outside the Café on Sunday mornings.
